Hi again. Thank you for coming back to look at our website and all our new pictures. Things are going well at BlueCross/BlueShield. At this point I have 15 projects that I am currently working on. I guess that is pretty good job security! I have learned how to write some basic programs which is pretty interesting. Though my manager promised me that I would learn how to write much more complicated programs in the next few weeks. Right now my programs are usually around 150 to 200 lines long. My next one will be much longer. BlueCross did lose out on the RFP bid for Middle Tennesse, which is very unfortunate, but not unexpected. We have a couple of hundred thousand members that we will lose in Middle Tennessee in April of 2007. However, there are a couple of new programs the state is interested in us bidding on, so in the end it will probably all even out.
Soccer, soccer, soccer! Do you see a theme with this paragraph yet? Over the past six months I have coached an indoor team, and two outdoor teams. Our indoor team did very well and made it to the semi-finals. Savannah loved playing on the team and scored at least two goals in each game. This past spring I coached Savannah's outdoor team as well. We didn't have the best team when you looked at our won/lost record but we had a good season all the same. Lastly, I helped coach the Heritage Generals in their 1st season playing middle school soccer. We had a great 1st year, and made it to the semi-finals of the North Georgia tournament. We also went undefeated against our two county rivals!
Here I am with the kids again wearing my new Atlanta Thrashers hockey jersey! This was my big birthday present. The family also got me tickets to see the Thashers play the New York Rangers in Atlanta. The game was awesome, and we won in a shootout, 3-2!
Currently I am painting Gage's room and dark blue to match his bedspread. He wanted a space room, so once I am done with the dark blue we are paying an artist to come in a paint some planets, stars, and even a space creature on his walls. I think he will like it a lot. The next room we will tackle is the studio, and then finally Jenny's and my bedroom. We also have to work on the bathrooms, so my honey-do list is still very long. We are also adding a few trees and bushes around the outside of our house.
Well, that is it for now. I hope everyone is doing well. We sure miss all our friends and family. Hopefully, we will be able to see a few of you a little more often this fall/winter/and spring.
