It is a miracle, but I am actually going to take the time to UPDATE this website! Whew... it sure has been a while hasn't it? There have been so many changes in our life that I don't even know where to begin. The past year I have been working at Heritage Middle School as a paraprofessional/student teacher for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes. I absolutely adored my job, but it was difficult to work full-time, continue working towards my bachelor's degree, and be a decent wife and mother. It appears that I am NOT superwoman after all! With that said, I have decided to take a private position with one of the teachers at the middle school. It sounds impressive doesn't it? Turns out that one of the teachers offered me a job watching his children two days a week for the same amount of pay that I was getting working at the middle school. It isn't a step in the direction that I would like to go as far as working a "real" job, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to continue taking classes for my degree, spend more time with my family, STILL have breathing room, and do all of this while still earning a paycheck!
With that said, it seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same. The kids finished up last year with a bang and passed their CRCT tests with flying colors. This August they will be moving into the 7th, 4th, and 3rd grades respectively. It amazes me everyday how much they are changing and growing up. Time sure does pass us by. Pretty soon I'll be fretting about the teenage years! I'm kidding... I am enjoying myself immensely and wouldn't change a thing!
We are in the full swing of summer break. This year Julia and Gage have spent more time here in Ringgold due to Julia getting braces this summer, but it has been a nice change for all of us. We've just gotten back from our vacation at Tybee Island and had a blast! Be sure to check the website for new pictures. David took quite a few impressive shots this year!
We are still working on the house. We recently painted our kitchen, foyer, and hallway. It is nice watching our little house turn into our home. The next thing on our list is to paint Gage's room and the studio, but we have a million "little" things we are doing to keep improving the house.
Things are good for our family. We are all getting along well and are just happy to be together and spend time as a family. I wish everyone well and hope to hear from you soon!. Please e-mail me whenever you have a minute, we miss our extended family and friends. TTFN!
