Odds and Ends Page
For our odds and ends page we decided to include some different pictures from our vacation to Savannah, GA. If anyone sees a picture on this website that they really like, and they would like a copy please let me know. I will be glad to make you a copy.
This is the Catholic church, St. Peters, in Savannah, GA. I am not sure there are words that can describe how beautiful the church really is inside and outside. Stunning is the first word that comes to mind. Needless to say I have never attended a mass at such a beautiful church.
This is little Gracie. She died many years ago, and is buried in St. Bonaventure Cemetary just outside of Savannah, Ga. The next picture describes who she was and what happened to her.
This is the plaque next to Gracie's grave.
This is the Tybee Island lighthouse. It is very tall, to say the least. However, we didn't wait in the line of people just to walk up to the top. It was over an hour wait just to climb to the top.

This is part of Fort Pulaski. Actually you can just see the fort in the background. There is a moat with alligators in it that surround the fort. The mounds in front were dugout by the Confederates and they hid all kinds of things underground.

I thought this was such a funny name for a boat that I had to take a picture of it. You have to admire whoever named this boat, because they must have a pretty good sense of humor.

This is a picture of Juliette Gordon Lowe's house. She started the girl scouts of America, so we had to take Julia and Savannah to see it. The house is beautiful inside, but it is also haunted by the Aunt of Juliette Gordon Lowe.

Finally, here is a shot of the beach on Tybee Island. This is where we spent most of our time on our vacation. All the kids loved playing in the sand, the ocean, and to having the chance to relax and not worry about anything.
